Cross Talk is a Marie Curie Initial Training Network focusing on health,

“promoting interactions
between the microbiota and the human host.”

Our network gathers 13 partners  and  14 young scientists funded by the Cross Talk project as well 4 associated PhD students .

Training of the fellows is the core activity of Marie Curie ITN projects. Cross Talk orientated the training towards

“The emergence of a supra-discipline, the human microbiome metagenomics

which calls for competencies in molecular biology, microbiology, cell biology, immunology, animal and human physiology. Cross Talk aims at developing new concepts and trans-discipline training based on an integrated scientific program, laboratory exchanges and frequent contacts with industrial partners. Beyond the promotion of scientific excellence, Cross Talk insists on the parallel development of fellows’ transversal skills (management, communication & networking).

The overall scientific goal is to answer key questions on

“the role of the host-gut microbiota crosstalkin the development and maintenance of a health:”

  1. Identification of biological components and strains with high health potentials.

  2. Proposition of path(s) for the rational selection and use of probiotics.

  3. Formulation of recommendations regarding in vitro and in vivo approaches for futur studies.

Please put this day in your diary ! More information soon.

Our 4th Network Meeting and 3rd Fall School took place in Wageningen, it was a great success. We thank  LABIP for its involvment in our Fall School.
