The Cross-Talk project came to a conclusion and it was time to look back into its achievements. Cross-Talk has been one of the first major EU-funded initiatives to accompany the development of gut microbiota research, focusing on the interactions between the microbiota and the human host. Its leading inspiration was to bring together and integrate the various competences and multi-disciplinary approaches that deciphering this terra incognita of human biology imposes. As a result the Cross-Talk Final Symposium gave participants an overview of our network’s developments in bioinformatics, molecular biology, cell biology, immunology, animal and human physiology.
