Aberdeen Meeting

The Cross Talk project organised a Fall School, hosted by the University of Aberdeen from the 19th until the 23rd of October 2009.

The meeting was divided into 2 sessions: a network meeting, where all the students presented their project and first results to the rest of the network, and a training session (program).

Training included the development of the following skills:

  • project management
  • network building
  • science communication
  • presentation skills
  • etc...

A workshop on Intellectual Property issues animated by Dr Beat Mollet (IP manager at the Nestlé Research Center) as well as an exchange session on career development with representatives both from the industry and the academia were exciting interactive moments during the Fall School.

Next training school will be organised in Debrecen in Hungary at the end of August 2010. The event should give opportunities for outside participants to attend the meeting.
